A Selection of

Past Articles and Stories

Over the years, I've had a chance to interview miners while we were 3,200 feet down in a lead/zinc mineshaft, and beekeepers while surrounded by thousands of their little friends.  I've done phone interviews with soldiers in Afghanistan and filed material to Canada while living overseas in South Korea (always on time no matter the time zones, of course.)

I tend to prefer human interest stories, especially with an eye on history or the maintaining of traditions.  I've written on seniors' issues, business stories, arts, entertainment, trade stories from commercial fishing to agriculture and commentaries.

Below are a few stories that I've dug up from my archives, together with their accompanying photos, that I now present here on the website.  Check back as I will try to update with new stories as often as I can.
